Summary

Paravertebral ligamentous ossification, including ossification of the posterior longitudinal ligament (OPLL) and ossification of the ligamentum flavum (OLF), can cause spinal canal narrowing. This study reviews 5-year experiences with these conditions.

Background:

  • Paravertebral ligamentous ossification encompasses ossification of the posterior longitudinal ligament (OPLL) and ossification of the ligamentum flavum (OLF).
