Summary

Gallbladder stones escaping during laparoscopic cholecystectomy can lead to rare complications. These stones may migrate and spontaneously exit the body through the skin after a complex recovery.

Background:

  • Retained gallstones migrated to the subcutaneous layer in the lumbar region.
  • The gallstones were eventually eliminated spontaneously through the skin.
