Abstract:
Our experience with the treatment of uterine sarcoma is presented as a retrospective clinical study. The studied group is represented by 39 patients with the average age 58 years and an overall 5 year survival 36%. We recommend the abdominal hysterectomy with or without bilateral salpingooophorectomy as primary therapy. The importance of adjuvant radiotherapy and chemotherapy is discussed with a special attention to various histological types of sarcoma.
