Abstract:
Although carcinogen to human prostate cancer has not clarified yet, androgen is necessary for genetic damage on epithelial tissue of the prostate. There are many factors influencing promotion of cancer cells under certain androgenic environment; IGF, somatostatin, nutriments including beta-carotin, fat and green tea. Loss of androgen dependency gradually occur during progression. This may be attributable to adaptation, paracrine regulation and genetic change, but the latter is main course to acquire autonomous growth with metastatic ability. Mutation of androgen receptor which occurs in some cases plays a role on antiandrogen withdrawal syndrome.
