Alpha-MSH regulates interleukin-10 expression by human keratinocytes

Summary

Human keratinocytes (HKC) produce alpha-melanocyte-stimulating hormone (alpha-MSH). This study found that alpha-MSH stimulation increases interleukin-10 (IL-10) mRNA in HKC, suggesting a role in skin inflammation.
