Background:

  • Erythropoietic protoporphyria (EPP) is a rare genetic disorder.

Observation:

  • A patient with EPP presented with symptomatic improvement during two pregnancies.
  • During the second pregnancy, plasma and erythrocyte protoporphyrin levels were monitored.
