[Principles of biochemical diagnosis of early infection process]

The paper outlines major achievements of biochemical diagnosis of a wound infectious process. Various classifications of its methods are given. The most promising approaches to predictive diagnosis of wound suppuration, pyoresorptive fever and sepsis are discussed.
