Background:

Intrapancreatic tumors can cause biliary obstruction, necessitating accurate diagnosis and surgical intervention.
Enteric duplication cysts are rare congenital anomalies that can occur throughout the gastrointestinal tract, including the pancreas.

Observation:

A 46-year-old male presented with symptoms of biliary obstruction.
Diagnostic imaging revealed an intrapancreatic mass.
The patient underwent a pancreaticoduodenectomy (Whipple procedure).

Findings:

Pathology confirmed the intrapancreatic mass to be an enteric duplication cyst.
The surgical management was successful in relieving the obstruction.

Implications:

This case underscores the importance of considering rare diagnoses like enteric duplication cysts in the differential for intrapancreatic masses causing biliary obstruction.
Effective diagnostic imaging and surgical planning are crucial for successful outcomes in managing such complex cases.
