Purpose of the Study:

  • To assess the accuracy of PTT in classifying sleep respiratory events as central or obstructive.
  • To compare PTT's performance against the gold standard esophageal pressure (Pes) measurement.

  • 177 sleep respiratory events from 13 male patients were analyzed.
  • Two experienced polysomnography observers classified events using Pes.
  • 167 agreed-upon events were reclassified by observers using PTT, blinded to Pes data.
