Use and abuse of topical steroids

Review of the history of topical steroid treatment, explaining the high acceptance and discussing the complications. Special attention is drawn to the fact that-though extremely rare- sensitization to various steroids is described. In 1 patient cross-sensitization occurred against six different corticosteroids, all fluorinated.
