Nursing in Critical Care
|January 12, 1999
Abstract:
The paper sets out to explore the place of intuition in coronary care nursing. The Dreyfus (1985) and Benner (1984) models are used to explore the relevance of intuition to clinical practice. Examples from clinical practice are used to discuss the status of intuition in current practice. Conclusions suggest that further work is needed to explore the value of intuition and its contribution to clinical care.
