[Total replacement of humerus including shoulder and elbow joints]

A case of total alloplastic replacement of the humerus, including the neighboring joints, is reported. The method may be used for treatment of large defects of the humerus due to tumor, osteomyelitis, or trauma. The alloplastic replacement seems superior to autoplastic fibula transplantation.
