Summary

New thicker resection loops for transurethral resection of the prostate (TURP) provide similar clinical benefits to standard thin loops without increased side effects. This improved TURP technique enhances surgical vision for safer prostate tissue removal.

Background:

  • Transurethral resection of the prostate (TURP) is a common procedure for benign prostatic hyperplasia.
