    Summary

    Electrosurgical polypectomy and electrocoagulation are effective endoscopic treatments for upper gastrointestinal lesions. This study demonstrates successful removal of gastric polyps and treatment of ulcers and bleeding with no complications.

    Purpose of the Study:

    • To evaluate the efficacy and safety of electrosurgical polypectomy and electrocoagulation in the upper gastrointestinal tract.
    • To assess the outcomes of these procedures for various gastrointestinal lesions.

    Main Methods:

    • Electrosurgical polypectomy was performed for gastric and duodenal polyps.
    • Electrocoagulation was used to treat gastric ulcers, duodenal ulcers, hemorrhagic gastritis, gastric varices, and Mallory-Weiss tears.
    • Procedures were conducted using advanced endoscopic instrumentation.

    Main Results:

    • Twenty gastric polyps and three duodenal polyps were successfully removed.
    • Six hyperplastic gastric polyps were electrodesiccated.
    • Nine gastric ulcers, four duodenal ulcers, one hemorrhagic gastritis, one gastric varix, and three Mallory-Weiss tears were successfully electrocoagulated.
    • One duodenal ulcer and one Mallory-Weiss tear were unsuccessfully treated.
    • No morbidity or mortality was observed.

    Conclusions:

    • Electrosurgical polypectomy and electrocoagulation are safe and effective endoscopic techniques for managing upper gastrointestinal polyps and bleeding lesions.
    • These methods offer a viable treatment option with a low complication rate.
