On call. I'm a 76-year-old man with an enlarged prostate. I've been taking Cardura and it's helped a lot, but my doctor stopped it because he said a study found the drug could cause heart failure. Now I'm getting up three or four times a night again. Is Cadura safe?H B Simon

On call. My wife's problem with urinary leakage has improved with Kegel exercises. I've had dribbling since my TURP operation last month. Can these exercises help me, too?H B Simon

On call. At 44 years of age, I am 6 feet tall and weigh 210 pounds. I feel fine but I get very sleepy during the day. Am I overweight - and is that why I'm so sleepy?H B Simon

On call. For the past two or three years, ever since I turned 60, I've been getting up to urinate two or three times a night. I've been to my internist several times, and he always tells me my prostate is not at all enlarged. What could be wrong?H B Simon

On call. I've taken up running, and I've lost 10 pounds and gained lots of energy. My knees feel fine, but I worry: is running safe for my joints?Harvey B Simon
Harvard Men'S Health Watch|April 6, 2012
On call. I do my best to exercise every day, either walking two miles in good weather or riding my exercise bike for 30 minutes on wet or cold days. Should I keep going when I catch a cold, or would I be better off resting?Harvey B Simon
Harvard Men'S Health Watch|June 29, 2011
On call. Compared to the problems your readers ask about, my issue may seem silly. But I hope you'll give me some advice, since it really is very annoying. I'm troubled by excessive sweatingHarvey B Simon

On call. My doctor just started me on Zocor to lower my cholesterol. I have had just one side effect, forgetfulness. It's not as bad as it sounds, since my memory remains excellent, except that I often forget to take my pill in the evening. So I'd like to know if it would be okay for me to take Zocor in the morning with my other pills, which I never forgetHarvey B Simon
