By the way, doctor. Three years ago, my husband went to a sleep clinic for his snoring. He was diagnosed with moderate sleep apnea and given a continuous positive airway pressure (CPAP) device. He has been sleeping like a baby ever since--and so have I. Here's my question: when he reapplied for life insurance, his rating went from super-preferred to borderline insurable. Is there that much risk, even though he faithfully wears his mask every night? I would warn anyone who has a snoring problem to get life insurance before going to the sleep clinic!

By the way, doctor. I'm 84, 5-foot-9, and weigh 160. I do an hour's exercise every day. I take a diuretic, potassium, and calcium-channel blocker. Should I also take Lipitor to avoid a heart attack?

By the way, doctor. I'm 72, with no history of heart trouble. But my cholesterol is in the 220s, and I have been taking Lipitor for three years. I am thinking about buying a home defibrillator, primarily for myself but also for any emergency (although my wife is 52 and in excellent health). What's your advice?

By the way, doctor... My father has Parkinson's disease, and it seems to be getting worse. He's having a harder and harder time getting around. His memory has slipped badly. I've read about fetal-cell therapy for Parkinson's, but then heard on the news that it doesn't work--and might even make some people worse. What do you think?
