I'm 56 years old and have total cholesterol of 217 milligrams per deciliter, LDL of 131 mg/dl, HDL of 67 mg/dl, and a total-to-HDL ratio of 3.24. My doctor says that ratio is good for a woman my age, so why does she want me to lower my LDL?Leonard S Lilly
