  • Implementación de 39 proyectos Reach Out en todo el país durante 4 años.
  • Financiación de $ 12 millones distribuidos entre proyectos, con un promedio de $ 300,000 cada uno.
  • Análisis de los resultados del proyecto, reclutamiento de médicos y inscripción de pacientes.

Principales resultados:

  • Se inscribieron 23.9584 pacientes y se reclutaron 11.252 médicos.
  • Las clínicas gratuitas y las redes de referencia surgieron como los modelos de proyecto más comunes.
  • A menudo se observa un progreso significativo en los años 3-4; al menos dos tercios de los proyectos se espera que continúen con apoyo local.

Conclusiones:

  • Los esfuerzos comunitarios organizados, con un fuerte liderazgo médico y apoyo administrativo, pueden crear programas de atención médica efectivos.
  • Si bien no es una solución nacional, las iniciativas como Reach Out mejoran significativamente el acceso a la atención médica para las personas sin seguro y desatendidas.
  • El apoyo local sostenido es crucial para la viabilidad a largo plazo de dichos programas.
