Resumen
Se sintetizó un nuevo péptido ácido nucleico (PNA) con una estructura pyrrolidinyl restringida. Este PNA forma complejos altamente estables con el ADN pero complejos menos estables con el ARN.

Principales resultados:
- La PNA de decatimina sintetizada formó complejos altamente estables con poli (dA) y (dA) 10 a través del emparejamiento adenina-timina (A-T) específico de la secuencia.
- El complejo PNA-ADN exhibió una estabilidad significativamente mayor en comparación con el complejo PNA-ARN.
- La interacción con el poli (rA) dio lugar a un complejo PNA-ARN con una estabilidad considerablemente menor.
Conclusiones:
- El nuevo pyrrolidinyl PNA conformacionalmente restringido demuestra una unión efectiva específica de la secuencia al ADN.
- La estabilidad del complejo PNA-ADN es alta, lo que sugiere aplicaciones potenciales en áreas que requieren un reconocimiento robusto de ácido nucleico.
- La estabilidad reducida de los complejos PNA-ARN indica preferencias de unión dependientes de la secuencia y de la columna vertebral.
