  • La mayoría de las escuelas requerían visitas nocturnas, pero solo 17 tenían políticas formales de horas de trabajo estudiantil; el 60% requería aprobar los pasos 1 y 2 de USMLE.

Conclusiones:

  • Las escuelas de medicina de los Estados Unidos experimentaron un crecimiento de la facultad junto con un grupo de solicitantes cada vez menor, con estándares académicos estables para los estudiantes y una creciente diversidad.
  • Existe una brecha significativa en las políticas formales con respecto a las horas de trabajo de los estudiantes de medicina, a pesar de las obligaciones clínicas obligatorias y los requisitos de exámenes de licencia.
