Resumen

La lactancia materna conlleva el riesgo de transmitir el virus de la inmunodeficiencia humana tipo 1 (VIH-1). La infección postnatal materna por VIH-1 plantea un riesgo de transmisión del 29%, mientras que la infección prenatal agrega un riesgo del 14% a través de la lactancia materna.
