Resumen

La aterosclerosis y la trombosis comparten mecanismos moleculares. Comprender estos determinantes trombóticos en la aterogénesis ofrece una visión más clara del desarrollo de la enfermedad.

Sus antecedentes:

  • El vínculo entre la aterosclerosis y la trombosis está establecido desde hace mucho tiempo, pero se entiende mal a nivel molecular.
  • Históricamente, esta asociación se basó en datos de observación, sin conocimientos mecanicistas.

Objetivo del estudio:

  • Para dilucidar los mecanismos moleculares y celulares que vinculan la aterosclerosis y la trombosis.
