- Una porción significativa (80%) de estos péptidos unidos eran fragmentos largos (21-24 aminoácidos) de la cadena invariante asociada a la clase II.
Conclusiones:
- Un defecto en la vía primaria de procesamiento de antígenos puede conducir a la unión aberrante de péptidos largos a moléculas MHC clase II.
- Las moléculas MHC clase II pueden unirse a péptidos largos derivados de proteínas co-localizadas, como la cadena invariante, en el compartimento endosómico.
- Este hallazgo revela una vía alternativa de carga de péptidos para las moléculas de clase II del MHC bajo condiciones celulares específicas.
