Resumen

El despliegue de combate aumenta significativamente las tasas de maltrato infantil en las familias del Ejército de los Estados Unidos. El abandono infantil casi se duplicó, mientras que el abuso físico disminuyó durante el despliegue. Las familias militares necesitan servicios de apoyo mejorados durante estos períodos estresantes.
