Resumen
Las células epiteliales separadas de la matriz se someten a un nuevo proceso de muerte celular llamado entosis, en el que una célula invade a otra. Este fenómeno de célula en célula puede ser un mecanismo de supresión tumoral.

Sus antecedentes:
- Las células epiteliales normalmente requieren la fijación de la matriz extracelular (ECM) para sobrevivir, previniendo el anoikis (una forma de apoptosis).
