Sus antecedentes:

  • El virus de la encefalitis transmitida por garrapatas (TBEV), un flavivirus, es transmitido por garrapatas Ixodes a través de Eurasia.
  • El TBEV causa meningoencefalitis y mielitis agudas, con una morbilidad significativa y secuelas de larga duración, especialmente en adultos.
  • La incidencia de enfermedades está aumentando debido al cambio climático y al comportamiento humano alterado, a pesar de las vacunas disponibles.

Objetivo del estudio:

  • Revisar las características epidemiológicas y clínicas de la TBE.
  • Resumir los aspectos biológicos y virológicos del TBEV relevantes para su ciclo de vida y transmisión.
