Resumen

Saturno Saturno es Saturno.

Área de la Ciencia:

Sus antecedentes:

  • El anillo C de Saturno exhibe una sutil corrugada.
  • Anteriormente se había observado una estructura similar en el anillo D.

Objetivo del estudio:

  • Para investigar el origen y las características de la corrugada de anillo C.
  • Para determinar la naturaleza del evento que causó la inclinación del anillo.

Principales métodos:

  • Análisis de la iluminación de los anillos de Saturno en agosto de 2009.
  • Examen de las tendencias radiales en la longitud de onda de corrugado.

Principales resultados:

  • Se detectó una corrugada con una amplitud de 2-20 metros y una longitud de onda de 30-80 km a través del anillo C.
