Resumen

El mal plegamiento de proteínas, relacionado con enfermedades, se puede evitar en proteínas multidominio manteniendo la identidad de secuencia baja entre los dominios. Este estudio cuantifica los eventos de plegamiento incorrecto y confirma la diversificación de secuencias como una estrategia evolutiva para prevenir el plegamiento incorrecto de proteínas.
