Objetivo del estudio:

  • Desarrollar una metodología para la construcción de mapas genéticos a escala fina en chimpancés.
  • Para comparar las tasas de recombinación y las ubicaciones de los puntos calientes entre los chimpancés occidentales (Pan troglodytes verus) y los humanos.

Principales métodos:

  • Desarrolló una nueva metodología para la construcción de mapas genéticos a escala fina.
  • Utilizó datos de secuencia de alto rendimiento de 10 chimpancés occidentales.
  • Comparó mapas genéticos con datos humanos, centrándose en los reordenamientos cromosómicos y las características genéticas.

Principales resultados:
