  • Investigar si se puede adquirir un procesamiento ortográfico eficiente sin conocimientos lingüísticos preexistentes.
  • Para determinar si los primates no humanos pueden aprender a utilizar las regularidades ortográficas.

Principales métodos:

  • Los babuinos fueron entrenados para discriminar entre palabras reales en inglés y cadenas de letras no verbales que imitaban la ortografía inglesa.
  • Se analizaron las respuestas conductuales para evaluar las estrategias de discriminación.

Principales resultados:
