La pérdida de la subunidad mediadora MED12 provoca inesperadamente resistencia a los medicamentos contra el cáncer mediante la activación de la señalización del factor de crecimiento transformador beta (TGF-b). La inhibición del TGF-b vuelve a sensibilizar las células cancerosas, ofreciendo una nueva estrategia de terapia combinatoria.
