  • La teoría estándar Derjaguin-Landau-Verwey-Overbeek (DLVO) describe con precisión las interacciones superficiales a bajas concentraciones de sal, pero requiere una conciliación para entornos fisiológicos de alta sal.
  • La formación de gigaseals para las investigaciones de canales iónicos de sujeción de parches requiere superar estas fuerzas repulsivas.

Objetivo del estudio:
