Resumen

Los monos que jugaban a un juego de dilema social mostraron neuronas en la corteza cingulada dorsal anterior (DACC) que anticipaban el próximo movimiento de su pareja. Esta actividad neuronal puede guiar la toma de decisiones sociales en los animales.

Las grabaciones electrofisiológicas se obtuvieron de la corteza cingulada anterior dorsal (DACC).

La actividad neuronal se analizó en relación con las elecciones de los monos y las elecciones de sus oponentes.

Principales resultados:

Las neuronas específicas en el dACC exhibieron patrones de actividad que predijeron la próxima elección del oponente.
