El endurecimiento aórtico segmental precede al crecimiento del aneurisma aórtico abdominal (AAA) al generar estrés en la pared. El endurecimiento intervencionista redujo el crecimiento de AAA, ofreciendo nuevos objetivos terapéuticos y marcadores de diagnóstico para AAA.
