La proteína Nef del virus de la inmunodeficiencia humana tipo 1 (VIH-1) y el virus de la leucemia de ratón glycoGag reducen la infectividad viral al prevenir la incorporación de las proteínas SERINC3 y SERINC5 en los viriones. Este hallazgo ofrece una estrategia potencial para combatir el VIH/SIDA.
