Resumen

La oncoproteína E6 del virus del papiloma humano (VPH) secuestra la ubiquitina ligasa de la proteína 1 asociada a la E6 (E6AP) para degradar el supresor del tumor p53. La estructura cristalina revela cómo E6 se une a p53, lo que permite estrategias terapéuticas contra los cánceres impulsados por el VPH.
