Los científicos exploraron la traducción ribosómica de los aminoácidos beta y encontraron que 13 son compatibles. Sin embargo, se prohíben múltiples aminoácidos beta sucesivos, pero se pueden incorporar con inserciones específicas de aminoácidos.
