Sus antecedentes:

El desarrollo de la primera infancia es fundamental y cada vez hay más pruebas de su importancia.
La investigación sobre las intervenciones de ECD está fragmentada entre sectores, poblaciones y entornos.
Los Objetivos de Desarrollo Sostenible de las Naciones Unidas ofrecen un marco para iniciativas de desarrollo sostenible a gran escala.

Objetivo del estudio:

Realizar un análisis exhaustivo de las intervenciones de DCE en los sectores de la salud, la nutrición, la educación, la protección infantil y la protección social.
Identificar los componentes clave para las intervenciones de ECD exitosas, inteligentes y sostenibles.
Proporcionar recomendaciones basadas en la evidencia para ampliar los programas de ECD.

Principales métodos:

Revisión y análisis sistemáticos de la literatura existente sobre las intervenciones de ECD.
Categoría de las intervenciones en cinco sectores clave.
Síntesis de los resultados para identificar los factores comunes de éxito y las mejores prácticas.

Principales resultados:

Los paquetes de intervención multisectoriales, basados en el cuidado de los niños, son esenciales para una ECD eficaz.
Las intervenciones deben programarse adecuadamente a lo largo de toda la vida y abordar múltiples riesgos.
Aprovechar las plataformas de entrega existentes es vital para una implementación escalable.

Conclusiones:

Apoyar a los padres y cuidadores en la prestación de cuidados es fundamental para el potencial de desarrollo de los niños.
Las intervenciones futuras deben seguir evolucionando con la ciencia del desarrollo.
Los enfoques integrados y multisectoriales son los más eficaces para promover el desarrollo de la primera infancia.
