Resumen

La evolución del caballo muestra pulsos de diversificación, pero no vinculados a cambios rápidos de rasgos. En cambio, los factores externos como el aumento de los recursos y los nuevos hábitats impulsaron la especiación del caballo, lo que sugiere que los límites ecológicos, no la evolución rápida, controlaron su diversidad.
