Sus antecedentes:

  • La insuficiencia cardíaca (IC) es un problema de salud mundial con una prevalencia creciente debido al envejecimiento de la población y al mejoramiento del tratamiento de los eventos cardiovasculares agudos.
  • Si bien existen terapias para la insuficiencia cardíaca con fracción de eyección reducida (HFrEF), como los inhibidores de la ECA, los ARB, los betabloqueantes y los ARNIs, persisten necesidades no cubiertas significativas, particularmente para la insuficiencia cardíaca con fracción de eyección preservada (HFpEF).

Objetivo del estudio:

  • Revisar las estrategias terapéuticas actuales para la insuficiencia cardíaca, centrándose en los avances y los desafíos restantes.
  • Para resaltar el papel en evolución de las terapias como los ARNIs y los dispositivos de asistencia ventricular izquierda (LVAD).
  • Discutir las opciones limitadas de tratamiento para el HFpEF y la necesidad de nuevos enfoques terapéuticos.
