Resumen

El hipotiroidismo subclínico, caracterizado por un aumento de la hormona estimulante de la tiroides (TSH) con tiroxina libre normal, es común. La mayoría de los casos no requieren tratamiento, pero los niveles de TSH de 10 mU/L o más o los individuos más jóvenes sintomáticos pueden justificar la intervención.
