Objetivo del estudio:

  • Desarrollar un sistema semiartificial para convertir el dióxido de carbono en ácido fórmico utilizando luz blanca.
  • Para utilizar una enzima inmovilizada dentro de un andamio de recolección de luz para la conversión eficiente de energía solar.
  • Para demostrar una vía factible para la fijación de carbono impulsada por el sol.

Principales métodos:

  • Inmovilización de la enzima formato deshidrogenasa en un andamio de recolección de luz.
  • Anclaje de un mediador de electrones, Cp*Rh{2,2'-bipiridil-5,5'-ácido dicarboxílico) Cl, en el marco metálico-orgánico NU-1006.
  • Irradiación con luz blanca para inducir la transferencia de electrones inducida por la foto y la reducción de la coenzima.

Principales resultados:

  • Transferencia de electrones ultra rápida inducida por la luz facilitada por el mediador de electrones anclado.
  • Reducción eficiente de la nicotinamida adenina dinucleótido (coenzima) a una velocidad de aproximadamente 28 mM·h-1.
  • Generación selectiva de ácido fórmico a partir de dióxido de carbono por la enzima inmovilizada con una alta frecuencia de rotación de aproximadamente 865 h-1 durante 24 horas.

Conclusiones:

  • El sistema semiartificial desarrollado demuestra una ruta viable para la fijación de carbono impulsada por la energía solar.
  • La inmovilización enzimática dentro de los andamios de recolección de luz mejora la eficiencia catalítica para la conversión de CO2.
  • Esta investigación ofrece una vía prometedora para la generación de energía alternativa a través de la fotosíntesis artificial.
