Resumen

Las iniciativas de policía comunitaria no mostraron un impacto significativo en la confianza pública o en las tasas de delincuencia. Se necesitan más investigaciones para explorar estrategias eficaces de reducción de la delincuencia.

Sus antecedentes:

  • La policía comunitaria es una estrategia destinada a fomentar la colaboración entre las fuerzas del orden y el público.
  • La eficacia de la policía comunitaria en la mejora de las relaciones entre la policía y la comunidad y la reducción de la delincuencia sigue siendo un tema de debate e investigación en curso.

Objetivo del estudio:

  • Evaluar el impacto de la policía comunitaria en la confianza pública en la aplicación de la ley.
  • Evaluar si las estrategias de vigilancia comunitaria conducen a una reducción de las tasas de delincuencia local.

Principales métodos:

  • Se utilizó un diseño cuasi-experimental para comparar las áreas con y sin aplicación de la policía comunitaria.
  • Se recogieron datos sobre la confianza pública a través de encuestas y se analizaron las estadísticas de delincuencia durante un período definido.
