Sus antecedentes:

El cáncer de cuello uterino, causado principalmente por infecciones persistentes por el virus del papiloma humano (VPH), afecta a miles de personas al año, y casi todos los casos están relacionados con genotipos específicos del VPH.
El precancer cervical, definido como lesiones intraepiteliales escamosas de alto grado, requiere detección y tratamiento oportunos para prevenir la progresión al cáncer cervical invasivo.

Conclusiones:

La vacunación contra el VPH es una medida de prevención primaria muy eficaz contra el cáncer cervical.
Los protocolos de detección que incluyen pruebas de VPH, genotipo y citología son esenciales para prevenir el cáncer de cuello uterino mediante la identificación y el tratamiento de lesiones precancerosas.
La gestión personalizada basada en la evaluación de riesgos ayuda a optimizar la atención al paciente y minimizar los efectos adversos relacionados con el tratamiento.
