Resumen
La peroxidación lipídica interrumpe las balsas de la membrana celular, alterando su estabilidad y composición proteica. Estos cambios están relacionados con el envejecimiento, la enfermedad y la ferroptosis, ofreciendo posibles objetivos terapéuticos.

- Análisis de la separación de fases en dominios ordenados por líquido (Lo) y desordenados por líquido (Ld).
- Cuantificación de lípidos peroxidados, aductos 4-hidroxinonenales (4-HNE) y localización de proteínas.
Principales resultados:
- La peroxidación lipídica aumentó significativamente la separación de la fase GPMV en los dominios Lo y Ld, favoreciendo la fase Ld.
- Los lípidos peroxidados y los adductos de 4-HNE se acumulan preferentemente en la fase Ld.
- Se observó una disminución del empaque de lípidos y la translocación de proteínas de flotilla de dominios ordenados a desordenados.
Conclusiones:
- La peroxidación lipídica de la membrana plasmática altera profundamente la estructura, la estabilidad y la composición de la balsa de la membrana.
- Estas alteraciones contribuyen a la patología del envejecimiento y las enfermedades.
- Dirigirse a estos cambios en la membrana inducidos por la peroxidación lipídica puede ofrecer vías terapéuticas.
