Resumen

Los niveles elevados de urato sérico en pacientes con antecedentes de gota predicen significativamente futuras crisis de gota y hospitalizaciones. Objetivo del estudio:

  • Evaluar la asociación entre una sola medición de urato sérico y el riesgo de brotes de gota.
  • Evaluar el vínculo entre los niveles de urato sérico y las hospitalizaciones relacionadas con la gota.

Principales métodos:

  • Estudio de cohorte retrospectivo utilizando datos de atención primaria y hospitalarios del Reino Unido (2006-2020).
  • Se incluyeron pacientes con antecedentes de gota, analizando los niveles basales de urato sérico.
  • Los brotes recurrentes de gota y las hospitalizaciones fueron los resultados primarios, analizados utilizando regresión binomial negativa.

Principales resultados:
