Resumen

Los investigadores descubrieron cientos de nuevos compuestos antimicrobianos, llamados péptidos codificados por smORF (SEPs), dentro del microbioma humano. Estos nuevos péptidos muestran una potente actividad contra las bacterias resistentes a los medicamentos y son prometedores para el desarrollo futuro de antibióticos.
