Sus antecedentes:

La Administración de Salud de los Veteranos tiene como objetivo convertirse en una organización de alta confiabilidad (HRO) en toda la empresa.
Las organizaciones de alta confiabilidad priorizan la atención segura y de alta calidad al paciente en entornos complejos y de alto riesgo.
La seguridad psicológica, donde los miembros del equipo hablan sin temor a represalias, es parte integral del éxito de HRO.

Objetivo del estudio:

Describir estrategias para promover la seguridad psicológica dentro de la Administración de Salud de los Veteranos.
Mejorar la seguridad y los resultados de los pacientes fomentando una cultura de seguridad psicológica.
Apoyar la transición de la Administración de Salud de Veteranos a una organización de alta confiabilidad en toda la empresa.

Principales métodos:

Revisión de las iniciativas implementadas por la Administración de Salud de los Veteranos.
Descripción de las estrategias para fomentar la seguridad psicológica.
Centrarse en el fomento de una cultura de voz para las preocupaciones de seguridad.

Principales resultados:

La Administración de Salud de los Veteranos ha implementado iniciativas para desarrollar la seguridad psicológica.
Existen estrategias para promover la seguridad psicológica en los centros de salud.
El progreso requiere un esfuerzo continuo y una atención decidida.

Conclusiones:

La seguridad psicológica es fundamental para una atención sanitaria segura y de calidad en las HRO.
El logro de la seguridad psicológica requiere tiempo, paciencia y promoción activa.
Se necesitan estrategias bien pensadas para crear una cultura en la que el personal se sienta seguro al expresar sus preocupaciones sobre la seguridad.
