Resumen
Las recientes revisiones generales dentales revelan deficiencias comunes en las revisiones sistemáticas, que afectan a la práctica basada en la evidencia. Abordar estas cuestiones de calidad es crucial para la toma de decisiones clínicas fiables en odontología.

- Los resúmenes incluían los puntos fuertes y débiles identificados en las ERE.
- Se observaron deficiencias comunes en las RR en todas las RR revisadas.
Conclusiones:
- Las revisiones globales evaluaron la calidad de la SR utilizando herramientas como las directrices AMSTAR 2, ROBIS y PRISMA.
- Entre las deficiencias identificadas de la RS se encuentran: protocolos no registrados, búsquedas incompletas, falta de listas de estudios excluidos, métodos inadecuados, financiación no declarada/conflictos de intereses y falta de evaluación del riesgo de sesgo.
- Estos hallazgos ponen de relieve la necesidad de mejorar las directrices de SR y UR, la evaluación crítica de los sesgos y la conciencia de los posibles sesgos en la selección de estudios para su aplicación clínica.
