Sus antecedentes:

  • La fatiga de la decisión es un desafío cognitivo crítico para las enfermeras, que afecta la calidad y el bienestar del paciente.
  • Surge del efecto acumulativo de decisiones frecuentes y exigentes en entornos de atención médica.

Objetivo del estudio:

  • Realizar un análisis conceptual de la fatiga de decisión en la enfermería.
  • Para definir el concepto, explorar sus antecedentes, consecuencias e implicaciones prácticas para la enfermería.

Principales métodos:

  • Utilizó el método de análisis de concepto evolutivo de Rodgers.
  • Se realizó una búsqueda sistemática de la literatura en las principales bases de datos (PubMed, Scopus, Web of Science, Google Scholar).
  • Utilizó el análisis de contenido para extraer temas y sintetizar hallazgos.

Principales resultados:

  • La fatiga de la decisión se manifiesta de manera conductual, fisiológica y cognitiva, disminuyendo la capacidad de toma de decisiones.
  • Los antecedentes incluyen factores personales (sueño, estrés) y factores organizativos (carga de trabajo, personal).
  • Las consecuencias incluyen una disminución de la calidad de la atención, la seguridad, el agotamiento y el aumento de la rotación de puestos de trabajo.

Conclusiones:

  • La fatiga de la toma de decisiones presenta un desafío importante en la enfermería con graves implicaciones para las enfermeras y los pacientes.
  • La comprensión de los factores que contribuyen y la implementación de estrategias de mitigación son esenciales para el apoyo de la enfermera y la mejora de la atención al paciente.
